"Developments and New Directions in Futures Studies"
This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear about new directions and initiatives in futures while getting acquainted with new names in the field. Professional futurists, professors, and past, present, and "futures" graduate students are invited. Kaipo Lum will lead off with a report on the recent World Future Society conference. This will be followed by a discussion of ideas for collaboration and project concepts which might offer opportunities for new UH students. This discussion was developed in coordination with Andy Hines. Please attend and be part of this discussion.
Kaipo Lum is a graduate of the Alternative Futures MA program and is currently a doctoral candidate in Alternative Futures. He is a professional futurist and a strategic planner with HMSA (Hawai'i Medical Services Association).
